More about the North Carolina Quilt Symposium

Last week was my first time attending the North Carolina Quilt Symposium. I have to say out of all the quilt events that I have attended, this was the greatest. The Symposium was held at Johnson & Wales University in Charlotte, NC. I took 3 days of classes with Ellen Anne Eddy. I learned so much! They also had a wonderful quilt show. This Symposium travels around North Carolina. Next year it will be in Raleigh. Check it out!

My first trip to Mary Jo's!

I had the pleasure of spending part of last week in Charlotte at the North Carolina Quilt Symposium. Thursday was my first trip to Mary Jo's in Gastonia. The store is so huge that it is a bit overwhelming! There are thousands and thousands of bolts in this store. Of course I had to check out the quilt fabric area first. I purchased a couple of quilt backings. The prices were great! This store has every kind of fabric and notion you could possibly want. If you are ever in the area, check it out!
